# Channels Revenue By Room Types / Rate Codes Report

Track channel revenue grouped by room type — or by the actual room the guest was charged for (Room to Charge).

**Business Value**

* View channel revenue broken down by room type and rate code in a single report.
* Switch between Room Type and Room to Charge to see assigned vs. actual charged room.
* Compare nights, gross/net amounts, ADR, ASR, cancellations, no-shows, and occupancy share per channel.
* Filter by channels, room types, room to charge, and rate codes for focused analysis.
* Export as XLS, XLSX, ODS, or PDF for revenue, sales, and accounting teams.

**Use Cases**

* Revenue manager compares OTA and travel agency performance by room type each month.
* Front office runs the report by Room to Charge to audit upgrades and room moves.
* Sales team exports the channel breakdown to reconcile travel-agent commissions per rate code.

**How It Works**

**Running the Report**

**Where:** Reports → FO → Reservation → Channels Revenue By Room Types / Rate Codes

* From Date — start date of the range.
* To Date — end date of the range.
* Channels — select one or more booking channels (all saved by default).
* Run by — choose Room Type (default) or Room to Charge.
* Room Types — multi-select; visible when Run by = Room Type.
* Room to Charge — multi-select; visible when Run by = Room to Charge.
* Include Rate Children — Yes (default) or No.
* Rates — filter by specific rate codes.
* File Type — XLS, XLSX, ODS, or PDF.

Click Download to export, Preview to view on screen, or Print to send to printer.

**How the Run by Parameter Works**

* Room Type (default) — groups and shows revenue by the room type originally assigned to the reservation.
* Room to Charge — groups and shows revenue by the actual room type the guest was charged for (useful when a guest was upgraded or moved).

Note: Group reservations are always grouped by their assigned room type, regardless of the Run by selection. The Room to Charge filter applies to individual reservations only.

**Report Columns**

Rows are grouped by Channel, then by Room Type (or Room to Charge), with one line per Rate Code and a Total line per channel.

## ***Update: July 30, 2026***

### **Room Types Filter Hides Room Types With No Rooms**

The Room Types filter now lists only room types that have at least one room mapped to them.

### **What's New?**

Room types with no rooms mapped to them no longer appear in the **Room Types** filter. Retired room types stay in the system because historical reservations still reference them, but they are hidden from the filter instead of sitting there as options that return nothing.

### **How It Works**

1. Run the report from **Reports → FO → Reservation → Channels Revenue By Room Types / Rate Codes**.
2. Open the **Room Types** filter — only room types with at least one room mapped to them are listed.
3. Map a room to a room type and it appears in the filter again; unmap every room and it disappears.

| Note: This affects the filter parameter only. The generated report still shows every room type it has data for, including retired room types and reservations kept after their room was moved to another type or deactivated. |
