# Kwentra Hardware/Software Compatibility List

> Minimum and suggested hardware and software requirements for running Kwentra, including PC specs and Point of Sale devices.

In order to get the best experience out of Kwentra's software, we always give our recommendations and suggestions to our clients in order to use our systems in an efficiently effective manner.

Below are the minimum and suggested requirements for all devices that will have access to our systems:

| **Browser**  | Latest version: Google Chrome / Firefox | Latest version: Google Chrome / Firefox |

For Point of Sale hardware setup we recommend the following devices:

* **Terminal Touch Screen:** any touch screen meeting the minimum/suggested specs above.
* **Printer:** Epson TM-T88IV or SPRT SP-POS88VMF.
* **Cash Drawer:** must be compatible with the printer — the linkage is established when installing the printer's driver.
* **POS Proxy:** if applicable, this is the machine used for POS offline operations.

<Note>
  The Proxy software runs on Linux only. It's preferable to have a dedicated Linux machine, but as a workaround you can install a Linux virtual machine on a Windows machine — just make sure it meets the minimum/suggested specs above.
