Loyalty Programs in general aid in increasing customer satisfaction as well as their loyalty to your hotel, rewarding your guests with points in return for the services they use is very easy with kwentra ecosystem. How do guests earn points at my hotel? You can create your own loyalty rules based on the revenue generating services you offer at the hotel. Loyalty points earning is linked to revenue departments on the system, and you specify how many points do they earn based on which services you offer at your hotel. To create loyalty earning rules follow the below method. Front Office → Settings gear sign → Loyalty Program → Loyalty Rules Simply, you specify the dates for the loyalty earning rule, how much should be spent in amounts, the return of points earned based on the amount and the revenue departments specified for you to earn points.
  1. Enter the dates “start and end” for the loyalty earning rule.
  2. Enter the amount “using the base currency of your system” that based on it the guest will earn points.
  3. Enter the amount in points that the guest will earn based on the amount.
  4. Select the revenue transaction codes that based on it the guest will earn points.
  5. Click Save so not to lose your settings.
Take a look at the below screenshot to understand further. The guest will earn 1 point for every 100 USD spent on room charges, if the guest spent 150 USD they will only earn on the 100 USD. The guest will earn 10 points for every 100 USD spent on food and beverage charges, if the guest spent 150 USD they will only earn on the 100 USD. The guest will earn 50 points for every 100 USD spent on activities, if the guest spent 150 USD they will only earn on the 100 USD. Important Note: the guest will not earn points unless their reservation is checked out. Important Note: you cannot add points in decimal, so you cannot specify for every 1 USD the guest will earn 0.01 points. Points do not accept decimals. Now let’s see how guests earn points based on the above rules. Below Peter Jones only has 69 points on his profile, lets add some charges, pay for them and check out the reservation. What we can see below is that the guest now has 135 Points which means that they earned 66 new loyalty points. Guest’s total room charges was 680 USD = 6 points “earning on the incriments of 100 USD” Guest enjoyed activities from the hotel worth 120 USD = 50 points “earning on the incriments of 100 USD” Guest enjoyed food from the hotel worth 160 USD = 10 points “earning on the incriments of 100 USD” Total of 66 new loyalty points earned. This indicates that if the loyalty earning rules says for every 100 USD spent on room charges you get 1 point and the guest spent 99 USD, the customer would not get any loyalty points. You can adjust the loyalty earning rules to your convenience at any time.
