Quickly filter and control room selection in the Room Blocking screen by maintenance status, reducing operational mistakes.

Business Value

  • Prevents accidental assignment of Out of Service (OOS) or Out of Order (OOO) rooms to reservations.
  • Saves time and reduces stress for front office teams, especially during busy operations.
  • Improves guest satisfaction by ensuring only available and ready rooms are assigned.
  • Increases operational control and accuracy in reservation handling.

Use Cases

  • Front office agent needs to quickly find only clean and available rooms for fast check-in.
  • Supervisor wants to double-check room availability for VIP guests, filtering out any OOS or OOO rooms.
  • During a rush, staff avoids mistakenly assigning rooms under maintenance by using the filter.

Technical Know-How

  1. Go to Front Office → Room Blocking.
  2. At the top of the screen, you will find a new dropdown: Maintenance State.
  3. Choose from three filter options:
    • In Order (default):
      • Displays only rooms that are neither OOS (Out of Service) nor OOO (Out of Order) for the selected date(s).
    • In Order + OOS:
      • Displays rooms that are either in order or OOS (but not OOO) for the selected date(s).
  4. The room list will update instantly to match your selection.
