Every reservation has 1 of 5 states. Open the reservation from General Inquiry to see its state at the top right. Kwentra uses the standard terms that hotels use worldwide.

The 5 States

  • Expected: every new reservation starts here. The reservation is confirmed, and the guest is expected to check in.
  • Checked In: the check-in date has come, and the guest has arrived and checked in. The guest’s bill runs from the check-in date to the check-out date.
  • Checked Out: the check-out date has come, and the guest has left the room. A guest cannot check out until all open balances are paid.
  • No Show: the check-in date has passed, and the expected guest did not arrive.
  • Canceled: the reservation was cancelled in the system, for any reason.

Can I Change a Reservation State by Hand?

Yes. You can change it by hand until the next day’s Night Turn runs.
