For every reservation on our systems, there would be 1 state out of 5 reservation states shown in the top right of the reservation page once you open it from General Inquiry. Kwentra follows international standards — the terminologies below are commonly used across hotels worldwide.
  • Expected: any new reservation made on the system takes the status Expected, which means the reservation is confirmed and we’re expecting the guest to check in.
  • Checked In: indicates that the guest’s check-in date is due and the customer has arrived and checked into the room. The guest’s billing balance starts on the check-in date and ends on the check-out date.
  • Checked Out: indicates that the reservation’s check-out date is due and the guest has checked out of the room. A guest cannot check out unless all open balances are paid and settled.
  • No Show: the check-in date has passed and the guest was expected to arrive but failed to do so.
  • Canceled: the reservation has been canceled from the system for any given reason.

Can I change a reservation state manually?

Yes — as long as the Night Turn for the following day hasn’t run yet, you can change the reservation’s state manually.
