The housekeeping department has a very important role to make sure there’s no discrepancy between whatever is listed on the guest’s reservation and what they’re actually enjoying at the hotel. In some cases you find the reservation has 2 adults only while the room is actually occupied with 2 adults and 2 kids. Also, you might find a room with no reservation and you find people occupying the room with no reservation. How can I keep track of such behaviors at my hotel? The housekeeping team are the ones responsible to enter the rooms for cleaning purposes, their role does not stop there wherein they report such behaviors on the system. How? - If the housekeeper found a room that is occupied while the system says that it should be vacant or vise versa, the housekeeper should change the occupancy state accordingly.
- If the housekeeper found that the occupied room has 3 adults while it should have 2 adults only, they should change the number of guests and report it accordingly.
