Business Value
- Finds a House Use Officer in seconds, not by scrolling guest names.
- Stops cashiers attaching a guest profile to a house use check.
- Saves Income Audit the work of tracing and fixing wrong names.
- Uses the House Use Officer flag you already set on the profile.
- Changes nothing about how the check is linked or reported.
Use Cases
- Cashier opens a complimentary check and finds the duty manager in one search.
- Restaurant cashier attaches a walk-in guest profile without seeing staff names.
- Income auditor reviews house use checks and finds the right officer on each.
How It Works
Clicking Guest Name opens the Invoice Customer dialog. It used to have one Individual Profile search. That one field returned every profile in the property, guests and officers together.
It is now two fields:
- Individual Profile — searches guest profiles only.
- House Use Officer — searches House Use Officers only.
Which List a Profile Falls In
The House Use Officer flag on the profile decides it. Nothing else does.- Flag on → the profile appears in the House Use Officer search.
- Flag off → the profile appears in the Individual Profile search.
Searching and Selecting
Both fields work the way the old one did:- Type the name, with a physical or on-screen keyboard.
- Press Enter to look up matches.
- Pick the profile you want.
- Use the clear button to remove the selection.
Only one name can be used in invoice.
What Does Not Change
The split is a search convenience only. It is not a new kind of link.- The check is linked to the profile exactly as before.
- Invoice print, payment, room and paymaster posting, the folio and all POS reports behave the same.
- Changing a profile’s flag later does not touch checks already attached to it. Those keep their link and their name. Only later searches follow the new flag.
