Scan guest IDs and passports with the LogicsWare scanner. The details fill the Kwentra guest profile automatically. LogicsWare makes electronic solutions and services for businesses. With its passport scanner, staff do not type each profile field by hand.

  1. Add the API URL endpoint from the LogicsWare interface.
  2. Enable the connection.

How Scanning Works

  • Front and back: scan the front, the back or both sides of a document, as your local rules require.
  • One click: on the Guest Profile, click Capture ID to start the scan.
    • The scanner reads the document and sends back the data.
  • Automatic save: the profile fields fill in by themselves. You do not click Save.
    • The data is saved at once and the screen refreshes.

Document Type

The system sets the identity type from the LogicsWare value: Identity type filled on the guest profile after a scan

Notes

  • Automatic save: every scan saves to the guest profile. You do not click Save.
  • Address: if the scanner sends an address, it replaces the address with contact type Main.
  • If there is no Main contact type, the address is added with the first contact type in the system.
  • ID and passport numbers: nationalNumber always goes to ID Number. docNumber always goes to Passport ID.
  • Unknown or empty document type: if documentName is empty or unknown, the document type is set to Other.

Examples

  • Scan a national ID: the system saves the first and last name, city, ID number and address at once. Identity type is set to Identity Card.
  • Scan a passport: first and last name, passport number, address and identity type (Passport) are saved automatically.
  • Scan an unknown document type: all fields are saved. Identity type is set to Other.
