What is FIAS Protocol?
(FIAS - Fidelio Interface Application Specification) is a universal protocol specification which can be used by different kinds of third party property systems to exchange data with the Oracle Hospitality OPERA property management systems. It allows a system to define its own specific data records using the list of available record types and fields to create desired functionality to be supported within an interface.

- And many other benefits
Simply, FIAS is the language spoken between kwentra system and other 3rd party services like doorlocks systems, spa softwares and others.
What are User Definable Fields?
We can define certain fields to be sent from kwentra PMS to the 3rd party tools using this feature.
Front Office → Settings Gear Sign → Integration → FIAS Interfaces
From this screen you can define up to 10 fields to be communicated to the 3rd party service’s tool through the FIAS Protocol.
On the right side you would see the data that we could use to be communicated to the 3rd party tool, all you would do is copy the field you would like and paste it on the mapping screen on the left.
Please contact support@kwentra.com whenever you would like to define certain parameters to be communicated through the FIAS Protocol with 3rd party tools.
