What is Paymob and what do they do?

Paymob is an infrastructure technology enabler providing payment solutions to empower digital financial service providers across Africa and the Middle East through innovative mobile wallet technology that gives the institute’s clients access to finance and digital payments. Simply, linking Paymob with kwentra PMS will help you collect your reservations payments based on the deposit policies you desire in order to enforce your cancellation and no show policies. The integration with Paymob will also allow you to collect payments at the front desk using a dedicated paymob machine.

1. Collect payments as your guest books directly from your website:

In that way you will receive the reservation directly from the website with its payment recorded on the reservation’s billing screen.

2. Collect payments at the front desk by capturing guests’ credit cards manually or using Paymob machine:

Selecting the payment method, the dialogue would take you to either enter the credit card manually on the screen or to use paymob’s machine to swipe and charge the credit card. In that way you can collect payments in advance for reservations made over the phone or through social media, once you generate the link with the amount you desire you can copy it and send it to your guest.

How does the integration work?

All you need to do is contact support@kwentra.com and inform them that you’re interested in activating kwentra Pay.
  1. Kwentra will initiate the communication with paymob.
  2. Kwentra will send you paymob contract for signing.
  3. Paymob will send kwentra and yourself the credentials for your paymob account.
  4. Kwentra will link your paymob account to kwentra PMS based on the payment methods “departments” you desire.
Front Office → Integrations → kwentra Pay → Paymob

What do I get for as benefits for integrating with Paymob:

  1. Very low transaction fees, 3% for Online Transactions and 2% for offline transactions.
  2. A free POS device to be used for offline transactions at your front desk.
