The Availability screen now shows each hotel’s occupancy percentage per day and exports the results to a file.

Business Value

  • Shows how full each hotel is, not just its free rooms.
  • Compares a 40-room and a 200-room property on equal terms.
  • Exports the on-screen results for analysis and owner reporting.
  • Reflects the Room Type and Room Category filters already applied.
  • Replaces manual copying and screenshots in group reporting.

Use Cases

  • Portfolio revenue manager spots the weakest hotel of the week at a glance.
  • Group GM exports the 15-day outlook and sends it to ownership.
  • Central reservations agent checks occupancy before moving a group between properties.

How It Works

Until now every date cell showed a single number — the rooms available for that hotel on that day. A count on its own does not say how full a hotel actually is: 20 available rooms is a quiet night in a 200-room property and an almost full house in a 40-room one. Reading the grid meant dividing by each hotel’s capacity in your head, or leaving the screen to check occupancy property by property.

Occupancy % in Every Date Cell

Under the available-rooms number, each cell now shows that hotel’s occupancy percentage for the date as smaller secondary text.
  • The percentage is calculated as occupied ÷ (total rooms − out of order − deactivated) × 100, rounded to a whole percent.
  • It respects the Room Type and Room Category filters currently applied to the search.
  • The Totals row shows the group-level occupancy percentage under each day’s total — the group’s occupied rooms divided by the group’s total rooms.
  • If a hotel’s total rooms for a date is zero or unknown, the cell shows the availability count only, with no percentage.
Everything else about the grid is unchanged: the same 15-day window, the same filters, and the same quick actions when you click an availability number.

Exporting the Results

An Export results button sits in the filter actions row, to the right of Reset.
  • It exports the result set currently on screen to a CSV file, which opens in Excel.
  • The file contains the hotel ID, the hotel name, and the per-date availability and occupancy percentage for the full 15-day range, including the Totals row.
  • The export always reflects the filters of the search currently displayed — change the filters and search again to export a different set.
  • The button stays disabled until a search has returned results.
