See market, source and channel revenue for all your hotels in one run.

Business Value

  • Replaces running the report hotel by hotel and adding it up by hand.
  • Keeps the same columns and layout staff already know.
  • Adds a Hotel row under each channel, so you see who sold it.
  • Works out ADR, ASR and Occ.Share % from totals, not averages.
  • Opens only for users with the report’s own permission.

Use Cases

  • A director of revenue sees which channels sold best across the whole group.
  • A financial controller compares one hotel’s Booking.com nights with the group total.
  • A multi-property night auditor downloads group channel revenue without opening each hotel.

How It Works

Before, this report ran one hotel at a time. Now it runs across the hotels you pick and returns one file. The single-hotel Channels Revenue YTD report does not change.

Running the Report

  • If To date is before From date, you see: To date cannot be before from date.
  • Each channel name is listed once, not once per hotel. Picking Booking.com covers every hotel that has it.
  • There is no Currency parameter.

Report Layout

The sheet keeps today’s header, columns, shading and number formats. The body now has four levels:
  1. Market row. A blank market shows as Others.
  2. Source rows under their market.
  3. Channel rows under their source. Names appear as set up, such as {code}_Booking.com.
  4. Hotel rows under their channel. This level is new.
  • Market, Source and Channel rows are subtotals across the hotels you picked.
  • A Hotel row shows that hotel’s figures for the channel.
  • A hotel is listed under a channel only if it has nights, cancellations or no-shows there.
  • One Total row sits at the bottom. It is the whole group’s total.
  • The header lists the hotels you picked, or All hotels.
  • The title row reads Channels Revenue YTD Consolidated with your date range.

Report Columns

A row with zero nights but some cancellations or no-shows is still listed. The other columns show zero.

How the Figures Are Combined

Counts and amounts are added up. Ratios are worked out again on every row. Example: the group has 1,000 nights in the result. A channel row has 250 nights, so it shows 25.00%. Hotel A sold 150 of those nights. Hotel A’s own total in the result is 500 nights. So the Hotel A row shows 30.00%.
  • ADR, ASR and Net Rate Per Adult are worked out from each row’s own totals.
  • They are never an average of the hotel rows, and never added up.
  • A Channel filter narrows the total too.

Names Must Match Exactly

Markets, sources and channels are matched across hotels by exact name.
  • {code}_Booking.com at two hotels makes one Channel row with two Hotel rows.
  • Names that differ even slightly stay as separate rows. The code prefix counts.

What Counts

  • Dates pick stay nights. Only room nights inside the range count. A stay crossing the edge adds only its in-range nights.
  • Rates come from the reservation’s rate breakdown per night, posted or not.
  • Manual charges and direct postings are not counted.
  • Individual reservations: everything except Cancelled and No Show counts.
  • Group reservations: only nights still in Expected status count. Groups add nothing to Children or No Shows.
  • Reservations with no channel are left out.

Permission

The report has its own permission pair. One permission runs it. The other opens every file format. Both are given to Consolidated GM, Multi Property Financial controller and Multi Property Night auditor. Without them, the report does not show in the Reports menu.
