See channel revenue by room type and rate code for all your hotels in one run.

Business Value

  • Replaces running the report hotel by hotel and adding it up by hand.
  • Keeps the same crosstab layout staff already know.
  • Adds a Hotel row under each rate code, so you see who sold it.
  • Merges room types with the same name into one column.
  • Opens only for users with the report’s own permission.

Use Cases

  • A portfolio revenue manager compares room-type revenue across every hotel in one run.
  • A financial controller checks one hotel’s rate-code revenue against the group total.
  • A multi-property night auditor downloads group channel revenue without opening each hotel.

How It Works

Before, this report ran one hotel at a time. Now it runs across the hotels you pick and returns one file. The single-hotel Channels Revenue By Room Types / Rate Codes report does not change.

Running the Report

The date range, Run by and Include free children work as they do on the single-hotel report.
  • Each channel, rate code and room type name is listed once, not once per hotel.
  • Picking R1 matches that rate code in every hotel you picked.
  • Room Types lists only types with an active room in at least one hotel you picked.

Report Layout

The sheet keeps the same crosstab as the single-hotel report.
  • Rows are Channel, then Rate Code.
  • Columns are Room Type.
  • A Hotel row sits under each rate code. This level is new.
  • Each row ends with a Total column.
  • One Grand Total row sits at the bottom.

Room Type Columns Merge by Exact Name

Room types are matched across hotels by exact name.
  • Deluxe at two hotels makes one column.
  • Deluxe and Deluxe Room stay two separate columns.
The report help text states this too.

Report Columns

How the Figures Are Combined

Counts and amounts are added up. Ratios are worked out again on every row. Example: the group has 1,000 nights in the result. A rate code row has 250 nights, so it shows 0.25. Hotel A sold 150 of those nights. Hotel A’s own total in the result is 500 nights. So the Hotel A row shows 0.30.
  • Cancellations and No Shows count room nights.
  • Group reservations count only nights still in Expected status.
  • Groups add nothing to No Shows or Children.
  • ADR, ASR and the group rules do not change from the single-hotel report.

Permission

The report has its own permission pair. One permission runs it. The other opens every file format. Both are given to Multi Property Financial controller and Multi Property Night auditor. Without them, the report does not show in the Reports menu.
