The purpose of this new feature is to easily upgrade your guests’ rooms depending on the scenario of the upgrade, there are 2 upgrade scenarios:
  1. You would like to upgrade your guest’s room and apply the rate of the new room type.
  2. You would like to upgrade your guest’s room for free without paying the rate of the new room type.
In both scenarios the steps are the same. Front Office → Individual Reservations
  1. Click on the room type or room number hyperlink from the reservations list.
  2. Change the room number/room type to the upgraded room.
  3. Click Save.
  4. When asked, select Yes if this is a free room upgrade scenario or select No if you would like the rate of the new room type to apply.
  5. If Yes, there is a message shown on the reservation proving that the guest will be charged on the original room type’s rate.
  6. If No, the new room type’s rate will apply.
Once you select Yes or No the reservation will automatically update with your selection.
